ALBANY, N.Y. (TND) — President Joe Biden is leading former President Donald Trump among New York State voters by only seven points, according to an Emerson College Polling/The Hill/PIX11 survey released Thursday. Forty-eight percent of respondents pledged support for Biden in a head-to-head matchup, compared to 41% for the presumptive Republican nominee. The survey also showed Trump with a 10-point advantage over Biden among Independent voters. The poll is the latest showing of the president’s weakened New York support.

The Dillon family's tent has a fridge, microwave, beds, and other amenities. Like many other families at the Grange Fair — the last tenting fair in the county — the Dillons have camped out on the grounds for generations.

SANDY TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — Police say a man already serving a jail sentence for sexually assaulting a young girl faces additional felony child rape charges after a second victim came forward. According to a criminal complaint, Sandy Township police say they were notified of allegations of child sex abuse in July 2019. Police say the victim, a 14-year-old girl, told authorities a man had inappropriately touched and had sex with her over the course of four years.
Director of communications for the Diocese of Altoona-Johnstown, Tony DeGol, says it’s no secret that there are not enough priests. He says in 1983, the diocese had 165 active ministry diocesan priests. Today, DeGol says there are only 37. “That is not a lot of priests when you compare it to what we were dealing with 30 or 40 years ago. That's the bad news. The good news is the priests we have have really stepped up to the plate.
UPDATE |Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Somerset County officials have identified the victim of Wednesday night's crash in Somerset Township. Deputy coroner Alexis Lichty says 58-year-old Christopher Revello, of Somerset Township, was pronounced dead around 8:45 p.m. Officials say his cause of death has been determined to be blunt force trauma. Investigators say authorities were dispatched to Water Level Road, around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday, for a report of a single-vehicle crash.
State College, PA (WJAC) — It’s been one week since the owners of a popular State College bar were shocked to find out the borough is considering demolishing their bar to make way for a parking lot. Jay Horgas and Ray Rockey have been co-owners of the Brewery since the 1990's. They say they are proud to have their place be known as a popular local dive bar. Last Monday, just hours before a borough council meeting, they were informed that the borough is considering eminent domain to take their property.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — It's common knowledge that parrots are great at mimicking human communication and everyday sounds. But a new study published by a local college professor in Cambria County is looking beyond what 'Polly' says. Dr. Christine Dahlin is an Associate Professor of Biology at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown who studies animal behavior. Her house is also home to Yoko, a 22-year-old energetic male cockatoo who loves to repeat new words and phrases.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Cambria County authorities say they are investigating the alleged theft of funds from the Central Cambria wrestling boosters club. District Attorney Greg Neugebauer confirms that the detectives and state police have launched an investigation into the matter. "Specific details are not being released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigation," Neugebauer adds. 6 News also reached out the Central Cambria School District for comment, who provided the following response.
