Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Lawrence Township Police Department say a man and a woman are facing charges after police found numerous drugs and guns inside a Clearfield County home. Police say on Thursday, October 27, authorities were dispatched to a residence along Clark Street to assist State Parole officers with a home check of 23-year-old Gabrielle Reffett. Police say a search of the home led to the seizure of marijuana, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, two handguns and drug paraphernalia.

LATROBE, Pa (WJAC) — State police say a 9-year-old juvenile was responsible for making a false "active shooter" call on Wednesday at Latrobe Elementary school, according to a press release. Troopers say a 911 phone call was placed Wednesday afternoon, reporting that several shots had been fired inside the school, resulting in a massive response from several area agencies, including state police and the City of Latrobe police department. Upon further investigation, police learned that there was no active threat against the school and the identity of the caller was determined to be a 9-year-old juvenile, who made the call intentionally.

BALD EAGLE -- The Bald Eagle softball team hosted Clearfield on Thursday and used an early lead to beat the Bison, 4-2. The Eagles led 2-0 in the fourth inning and then added an insurance RBI from Zoey Surovec in the fifth inning, eventually extending the lead to 4-1. Everett Borough will be featured in the Paramount Network and Apple TV series, "Defending Jacob." On Saturday, there were crews filming on Main Street in Everett and at the abandoned turnpike tunnels in Breezewood. Filming was supposed to begin early in the morning, but according to the show's location manager, Drew Nicholas, it was pushed back to later in the day.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. -- The State College Area School Board of Directors voted by a 5-4 margin Wednesday night to a cancel a bid that had Papa John's pizza being served in the district.
