NEW MILFORD TOWNSHIP, SUSQUEHANNA CO. (WOLF) — A bus driver and aide are charged after a 4-year-old child was found walking alone on a state road in Susquehanna County. According to Pennsylvania State Police, on Jan. 10 just after 8:30 a.m., a 4-year-old child was reported walking on Route 11 in the area of Cosmello's Auto Sales in New Milford Township. Through investigation, troopers said the child had fallen asleep on the school bus en-route to Blue Ridge Elementary, but the bus driver and aide on the school bus failed to check the bus for any students after drop off.

(WJAC) — The Centre County coroner's office has identified the victims of Wednesday's multi-vehicle crash that shut down a section of Route 322, near Port Matilda, for several hours. Authorities say 61-year-old Craig Hockinson, of Port Matilda, and 35-year-old Heather Ryder, of Philipsburg, were killed when their vehicles collided, head-on, along the 2400 block of Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. Police say the driver of a third vehicle was unable to avoid a collision and was injured in the crash.

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A mistrial has been declared in the case of a DuBois man accused of sexually abusing a girl for over a year after authorities say a Clearfield County jury was deadlocked on a verdict. Police arrested Sean Lechiara last August following an investigation into allegations that he had repeatedly assaulted the victim, beginning when she was approximately 12 years old. Lechiara was charged with over 100 various felonies, including rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, aggravated indecent assault, statutory sexual assault and invasion of privacy.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A second person has died as a result of a crash last month on Route 22 near Ebensburg in Cambria County, authorities say. According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, 71-year-old Therese Dow succumbed Thursday to injuries sustained in the crash that happened May 25. Dow’s husband, Richard, was killed in the crash. Officials say their dog had to be euthanized for injuries. Investigators say a tri-axle truck hauling coal collided with the Dow’s SUV as it turned onto the highway from South Center Street at the Unimart intersection.
PHILADELPHIA (WCAU) — A shocking discovery was made in Philadelphia after police found the body of a 12-year-old boy placed in a trash can. Philadelphia police say a sanitation worker picked up a trash container from a street last Tuesday and took it to a nearby storage facility where it was housed overnight. But only when he made another trip a day later, the body was discovered. Authorities said an autopsy showed the boy was shot in the head.
