CENTRE CO., Pa. (WJAC) — Starting Thursday, Sept. 22, all Wegmans stores across Pennsylvania will get rid of plastic bags. This comes as Giant Eagle recently announced a similar plan in some of it stores around Erie and in Ohio.

CLEARFIELD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Six separate indictments were handed down from federal authorities Tuesday in connection to a nationwide drug trafficking ring.
Forty-seven individuals were named in six separate indictments, citing drug trafficking from California all the way to western Pennsylvania including Jefferson and Clearfield counties.
In these indictments, the defendants were charged with narcotics trafficking, money laundering and firearms violations.
Investigators say these defendants operated across the country distributing drugs locally in Clearfield, Jefferson and Allegheny counties.
CLEARFIELD - The Salvation Army in Clearfield is working to make sure kids have full stomachs and sharp brains this summer. The new mobile feeding program, "Lunch & Literacy," kicks off June 13th.

BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) - One woman was hurt following a mobile home fire Saturday afternoon.
It happened in the 100 block of Four Leaff Road in Cesna at 2:28 p.m. Bedford Fire Department No. 1 Inc. Chief Gary Cooper says firefighters were on scene for approximately an hour-and-a-half putting out the blaze.
Firefighters from the Bedford Fire Department No. 1 Inc. had help from three other fire companies.
RICHMOND, Va. (7News/AP) — Dozens of graduating students at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) walked out Saturday, May 11 during an address by Gov. Glenn Youngkin in Richmond.
While some of the estimated 100 students and family members who left during the Republican governor’s speech showed support for Palestinians, others held signs signaling opposition to Youngkin’s policies on education, according to WRIC-TV.
Videos on social media showed that as Gov. Youngkin began his speech, several students stood up and walked out.
FRIANT, Calif. (KMPH) — A father and daughter were rescued from the San Joaquin River Sunday after their kayaks got stuck on debris.
The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. north of Lost Lake on North Fork and Friant Road.
California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection says they used their boat to get the man off the middle island he was stuck at and used rescue swimmers to help save the daughter in the river.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Mental health officials in Cambria County are reminding the public about resources available to those in crisis.
Officials say they are seeing an increased need for access to mental health services in the county.
They say one of those resources is the National Suicide Prevention Hotline.
Officials there say they also provide suicide prevention education and awareness and offer free training for anyone in the community so they can recognize the signs.
