SAN ANTONIO, Texas (WOAI/KABB) — The FBI, Homeland Security and other federal agencies are waiting to hear when autopsies will be conducted on two victims of Friday’s kidnapping of 4 U.S. citizens in Mexico. As of Tuesday evening, Latavia McGee and Eric James Williams were still both at the Valley Regional Medical Center in Brownsville, Texas. Williams had been shot in the leg and underwent surgery, according to the FBI.
University Park, PA (WJAC) — At Penn State's University Park campus, construction continues on a new art museum. The $85 million project features an exterior that highlights the geology of Pennsylvania. Billed as the largest art museum between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, Penn State's Palmer Museum has been in the heart of the University Park campus since 1972. With more than 10-thousand pieces of art, finding more room at that location would practically be impossible.
CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — UPDATE: Centre County Deputy Coroner Judy Pleskonko has identified the victim of Friday night's fatal hit-and-run crash along Penns Valley Road (Route 45), according to a news release. Pleskonko identified the victim as 23-year-old John David King of Penn Township, the release states. Officials say King was operating a non-motorized scooter along the roadway when he was stuck by a vehicle. Following an autopsy, Pleskonko says the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — An annual Blair County holiday display featuring thousands of lights is set to open this week. The 23rd annual Holiday Lights on the Lake at Lakemont Park will open Friday, the park announced Monday. The holiday display illuminates 51 acres of Lakemont Park as visitors drive through the lights and animated displays. This year, visitors are tasked with finding Santa’s favorite sweet treats hidden throughout the display, while writing down what they find on their entry form, for a chance to win $1,000 at the gift shop at Santa’s Village, Lakemont Park announced.
NANTY GLO – There will eventually be a new look, and a new home, for parishioners of a church in Nanty Glo borough. Nearly two years after a fire ripped through First Baptist Church in Nanty Glo, pastor Gino Bartoletti said the congregation is in the first stages of rebuilding the church. “I had never experienced anything like this. Most pastors never do,” Bartoletti said. “When you lose your building, when it’s 102 years old at the time of fire, it’s a whole change.
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Authorities in Cambria County say one person was taken to the hospital Wednesday afternoon following a train versus passenger vehicle collision. 911 officials say the incident occurred just after 2 p.m. in the area of Krings Street and Eisenhower Blvd. in Richland. According to a witness, the SUV was reportedly stopped on the tracks when it was struck by a CSX freight train. Flaggers were also reportedly nearby, directing traffic, as that intersection has seen a recent increase in traffic due to a local detour.
The starting point for this year's "World Naked Bike Ride" event in Oregon has been announced. The ride will start at Peninsula Park in North Portland on July 30 at 9 p.m. EDT. The Naked Bike Ride is a worldwide bike ride that looks to raise awareness of the vulnerability of cyclists and the dependence on pollution-based transport.
